well..... today I was called skinny and skeletor? interesting - yes a new low weight since university so not bad for 16 years later or something! anyway - going ok.
am with many other posts on the cravings and also patricks comments around not slacking now. very very tough. tricky day at work today - just left feeling drained so really really fancied a pizza and a beer. 2 egg whites and some milk and an apple for me - woohhhho.
roasted a chicken so having that cold tomorrow for lunch - going to make a large pasta salad.
otherwise all good. wish we were on the downhill as opposed to thinking the second half is going to be harder than the first?
keep it up all and esp well done to our marathon runners

day 44 - still out of sycn
so played golf yesterday and then got back at 7pm having left pre 7am and had to go straight out again for an evening of culture with my wife and the it turns out some friends. it was good and the day was pcp friendly but didnt get my work out in - just walked 18 holes of golf!
so.... today I did yesterdays and it was good. no more counting skipping and so much better. I guess I still wonder though given I am slow whether I should be doing more skips? like have a minimum time or number?
overall it was good and am organised for tomorrow early so relaxing.
keep it up everyone!
oh and sorry was going to do photos but didnt fit it in - will get done this week. but weight has gone down - nearly through 16 stone - so 102.5 kgs at present which is a good start. keep it up! few small aches and pains...

day 42 - another week bites the dust and
so does my appetite. its amazing - I can count the few times this week I have been hungry. generally I have felt great few only a very few exceptions. more cravings this week I have found though as well - not entirely sure why but definately been the case although a couple of classics avoid - the chinese buffet at work from my favourite place but didnt eat anything at all from it.
otherwise is going well - exercise is good although I am still finding the last couple of bits and pieces quite hard. the ab work towards the end I am finding really tough for some reason.
will post photos over the weekend.
tomorrow I am playing golf all day which will be amusing.

day 40? - well I am out of synch!!!
well following the trip am still a day behind so did day 39 exercises today - have to say I found that hard. especially the old forward shoulder raises after all the other stuff. ow.
good though overall and food is good - much more organised. struggle with the veggies a bit still at least from time to time esp late at night.
feeling good and the results are definately there. looking forward to the next straight and seeing more rewards esp a bit more of this annoying fat disappearing.
was good though today - got home early to see the children and some friends who were also round playing. makes everything much better!
keep it up guys

day 38 - tough this late
howdy - my typical monday but on a tuesday - late meeting - get home at 9pm and have to crack it out. also I am a day behind following the travel so just had the fun of a few of the new exercises.
skipping went well - quicker by 20 secs that yesterday. still tripping too much.
exercise ok until the abs. did wonder a bit about the form on a couple despite much studying and the pistol squats are of course a killer.
food - going well - obviously have to go and cook now as well as consume some eggs! all good and have stuff planned but its painful anyway.
well done everyone!!!

day 37 - thirtysomething and back?
hi - this will be brief but back in hk and back into it. its great to be back off the road with nothing firm planned for quite a long time.....
anyway - managed to keep it up pretty well whilst away but food was harder. good to do the 1,400 jumps in under 20 mins and finish the whole thing in 36 mins. that will do.
pistol squats are just a disaster.....
the rest was ok if hard but ok.
off to cook up a storm!
well done everyone!!!

day 32 - london
first of all - come on everyone. lets not let let it get us down. and second - being on the road and being in my old home town is really really tough.
not being able to get all the right food, having lots of meetings, struggling to time everything is all difficult but still I am doing my best to eat pcp, not eat the bad things and do the exercise.
so I landed, got the exercises done in my hotel room but to do that I had to move literally almost every piece of furniture in my room to have the space to do the skipping. the rest of it was fine and I felt ok until I got to the abs - still finding the double ab sets hard work so havent moved on to the video yet.
met a friend in the evening whose wife is overdue so we went for an indian and ate as healthily as I could.
today the food has been harder but focussed on the core concepts of good protein, vegetables etc. tonight going to fit in my workout and then going to meet some family for a quick light dinner. so not sure how on earth I can do the eggs? tomorrow I have a team drinks session - so even if I survive without drinking anything at all which is my aim - these are people I have known over 15 yrs and used to go out with all the time? not doing anything is going to be hard.
after that it should get a bit easier but ..... working on exercise and core food first with a view that next week I can go ultra perfect and try and make up a bit.
dont let it get you down! we can all beat it...... I wish I could get onto the egg shakes again!

but got it all done. going to try the shake route this evening - then I am off on the midnight flight to London.
obv will have to do my best next week but should be ok for most of it. am sure I wont be able to avoid all dinners but should be able to keep it fairly tight and worst case eat just fish.....
good luck everyone and keep it up TEAM!!!!
oh....

day 29 - skip skip hurray
yeah maybe finally. 1,300 skips in lots of at least 200 in 19 minutes almost dead. wooohhhoooo - that will do for now. I really tried to push myself hard and fast the whole time and it paid off especially in the second half where I did the 700 quicker than the first 600. so great progress.
food tough today with timing with family. have been pcp but not quite everything I should have eaten - a bit light. tried to concentrate as patrick said on protein as much as I could.
not really looking forward to dinner and vegetables at the end of the day tbh. I am not a big fan of apples at all - although I guess I could cook some up with just a touch of honey. maybe that is the way forward. and next week in london eating apples and bananas might prove amusing.
but really chuffed with my workout and that will enable me to surmount the rest of the pain tonight.
and come on england

day 28 - onwards
so the end of week 4. finally whilst not 100% feeling much better. got out of work early and ran home to do the workout. did day 27 workout to make up for the fact I missed 2 this week while under the weather. felt brilliant - really enjoyed it all - wondering if I got the double katanas completely right since they didnt kill me but otherwise all good.
my indulgence was a piece of my wife's birthday cake.
then we went out for dinner to her favourite restaurant with 11 friends - smashing night! went to a place called zuma - very good fun japanese type restaurant. delicious food and managed to keep it at least 90% pcp friendly but I am sure I ate a little more than I should have done. what was interesting was that their beef which is delicious I had one tiny piece of, the lamb was too rich for me. my taste buds and body truly is changing. most of the people there hadnt seen me for a few weeks and were amazed at the changes - I am nearly back at the weight I was when I was 20 which is great. also whilst I tasted the wine I didnt drink any beyond a mouthful. feeling very good. and also everyone was completely respectful of what I am doing.
next week will be interesting - like brian on the road with work and getting these egg whites sorted might be a bit tricky. will of course do my utmost but I am guessing thats going to be a little tougher. apples and bananas - fine! egg white omelettes ????
welcome to the real PCP

day 27 - part I
day off today - not because ill but because its my wife's birthday. having a very relaxed day which is good all will save my work out for later.
just cooked myself a delicious lunch. I made a huge ratatouille the other day which frankly is delicious. I was inspired by all the veggies in the organic veggie box I had delivered and so took it on myself to get through most of them. my wife scoffed when I bought so many which was only 2/ 3 days ago but we have eaten most of them already - and its only horrible things (joke!) like mangos left!
anyway had that with fresh cooked brown rice and prawns pan fried with just a drizzle of oil with spices. delicious considering I am at home baby sitting (my currently sleeping daughter) while my wife has lunch with her friends. we are celebrating tomorrow.
anyway more later. will try and get some photos up in the next couple of days as well
tally ho

day 26 - rock and roll
so back into it a bit today. feeling pretty rough so didnt go to work except very briefly. then feeling somewhat better so thought I would have a go. havent eaten so much but felt ok - did 1,200 skips and all the other stuff in about 40 mins.
love the creeps - ow they are going to hurt.
pull ups still a massive struggle.
all the rest ok although the plank is never one of my favourites.
well - the good news is I am finally touching the 105 kg barrier which is awesome. party time!!! I know that my indulgence is almost definately going to be a couple of glasses of wine on Friday at a dinner but it might be a slice of the birthday cake that I baked my wife this afternoon. icing with my son later.
onwards - thanks for the support guys and keep it up team.
I also may need to do some clothing shopping but not going to do any of that until April.

day 25 - ugh
hello - so not getting any better. am freezing cold and really shakey. so I am guessing I have caught something else beyond the basic body is rebelling!
hoping to get through a couple of days with minimal additional pain - should I be eating something different? Not sure.... I would have thought given the amount of fruit and veg I am eating that I wouldnt have caught a cold but who knows.
anyway - onwards.

day 24 - sick
having to retire early to bed without doing my full allotment. sorry listening to my body and it says rest and sleep. hopefully back up and running tomorrow. struggling to even walk around - pathetic case of man flu

day 23 - timings
timed everything today. I think my jumprope is the the right length - have measured it. I just think I am doing it too slowly but if I try and increase significantly my trip count goes up. basically 100 jumps takes me 1m 30s and so I am therefore at just over 15 mins assuming no mess ups. obviously I am going to keep working on this but this is my benchmark. therefore today the whole session took me 32 mins.
the rest of it was much better and the skipping. earlier in the day and was a lot stronger and quicker. need to optimise this since clearly normally I would be at work!
will try and do photos as well today if I can!
keep it up everyone - going great guns.

day 22 - tough day
Hi - so one of those nights with the children where they keep waking up and then up early to watch the rugby.... great match and the right result so ok but still tired. then went outrigging - had a beautiful mornings paddling both in pairs and in 6s which was amazing. seas were stunning and a good workout.
then all day we were running around doing stuff culminating in a bbq with friends who had spent ages smoking some beautiful meats which was all pretty pcp friendly. the temptation came in the form of freshly cooked cookies but I managed to resist. however the evening was then tough... neither of the children wanted to go to sleep and in addition I have a slightly sore back and top of chest for some reason. so most of the exercises were a bit tougher. skipping whilst getting better still takes me a long time - I mean nearly 20 minutes to do 1,050 which when people are knocking them off in just over 10 mins is a bit of a worry.
anyway - another week down and feeling good overall and the weight coming off still. off for my evening fruit snack!

Day - 21 wot no skipping?!?!?!
got up v v early and went and met my outrigging friends for some circuit chaos. a short run, lots of steps, more steps and steps bunny hopping later, another quick run and then a massive circuit session on the beach. wow that was worthwhile but I certainly felt that I was in much better shape for having been doing this. I may have to keep this as a regular weekly session - really good fun and good way to start the day and just a little variety.
otherwise food ok - not 100% on the veggies today with the various other things going on and meeting a friend for lunch. food pretty pcp friendly but still a small struggle.
given the amount of circuits and running and stuff I thought a day off skipping was in order.
up at 3.45am tomorrow for the rugby anyone???

Day 20 - thanks
Hi - first I want to say thanks to everyone for their help and supportive comments. Second I want to say - wow. Today with an extra day off was pretty interesting - should have done my exercise earlier but with the family I ended up doing it at 9pm after having had dinner with everyone relatively early. And I have to also admit I slipped a little - some of my carbs was a small portion of bread and butter pudding. Now I know thats bad and I am not going to do too much self justification but it was the lesser of various evils and I also fell right into the trap that Patrick laid. Anyway!!!!
However otherwise all good - still loving my lentil dahl - whats next? And the exercises were good even the skipping at this time of night. Loved the pull downs. So in a good mood tonight.
However meeting some of my outrigging crew tomorrow at 6am for a circuit session so will see how that goes. Rest day? Hahahaha
enjoy everyone!

DAY 19 - kung hei fat choi and photos
So we have a short week here in HK and it was great to get out early and get my workout in in the day light and feeling good. 900 skips went pretty well and the rest was ok except the pull ups. What a shocker that was. I cannot do them yet with arms fully straight so had to start part way. The burn on the legs was great in the lunges as well.
Food today was good. I made lentil dahl last night inspired by Aki and that was delicious with salmon and brown rice. Loving the fruit and this morning got up super early to have scrambled egg at home which was superb.
Interesting timing on the email. My skin actually has improved but is pretty dry. Not noticed too much else - I shall we say have always been overly regular and that continues.
Really enjoying it so far and the blogs are a brilliant idea. Love the public discussion and admission of issues etc.
Keep it up everyone especially team ninja or whatever we are hahahaha!!!!
And its great that the other sides to it are starting to show. Definately tightened up a bit if a very long way to go but 10 kgs is a good headstart!

day 18 - hard yards
hi - found food tough again but had peppers as my morning veg and that suited me a lot better. tomorrow am going to get up even earlier and try and have my eggs at home. inspired by aki cooked some lentil dahl - had some for supper - delicious so thats great - looking forward to eating more tomorrow.
felt pretty avg this afternoon - wondered if I had a cold or something coming on - but got home at a decent time, got the exercises done and now have to go and put my pull up bar together!!!!
feeling good over all - yes its step by step. have another hurdle in the way - I have to go to London for a week in a couple of weeks for biz which is frustrating but thats the way it is....
