timed everything today. I think my jumprope is the the right length - have measured it. I just think I am doing it too slowly but if I try and increase significantly my trip count goes up. basically 100 jumps takes me 1m 30s and so I am therefore at just over 15 mins assuming no mess ups. obviously I am going to keep working on this but this is my benchmark. therefore today the whole session took me 32 mins.
the rest of it was much better and the skipping. earlier in the day and was a lot stronger and quicker. need to optimise this since clearly normally I would be at work!
will try and do photos as well today if I can!
keep it up everyone - going great guns.
The whole session in 32 minutes is pretty good. As for skipping, I find it hit and miss, too. Some days it's done in about 11 minutes and others it takes 15 minutes so just go with the flow!
ReplyDeleteTimed my Day 22 workout yesterday - 49 minutes. 14 minutes to do the 1050 jumps. I also stick to the prescibed time in between sets and exercises and do the exercises slowly to keep my form as best as possible. I checked with Patrick and he commented, "not bad"..."try shortening the time between exercises to 20-30 seconds." Thought I'd share to give you a comparison and Patrick's thoughts...Today I'm looking to get down to 40-45 minutes.
ReplyDeleteNext question, what material is the rope on your jumprope?
ReplyDeleteSome acrylic covered thing. Brian saw it when I bought it and thought it looked much like various others he had seen people use.
ReplyDeleteNick - I am still tripping up but it seems with each day tripping is less and less. As George noted - some days more than others - I just go with the flow.
ReplyDeleteKeep it up Nick - you're doing good.
